 Two Charged with Attempted Murder After Uptown Saint John Assault

Two men have been charged with attempted murder following a serious assault in uptown Saint John over the weekend.

According to the Saint John Police Force:

  • Officers responded to reports of a stabbing on King Street around 9:40 p.m. Saturday.
  • Police found two injured victims, a 27-year-old man with serious injuries and a 54-year-old man who was also injured.
  • Both were taken to hospital, with the younger victim remaining hospitalized in stable condition.

Later that evening, police attended a residence in east Saint John, where they located two additional injured men, aged 19 and 44. Investigators determined their injuries were connected to the earlier uptown incident.

The two suspects now face the following charges:

    • Two counts of aggravated assault
  • 19-year-old man

Both remain in custody, and their bail hearings have been adjourned until Thursday.
