Police and Public Safety
Confirmed: Saint John Police arrested a 50-year-old man following a September 22 incident at a convenience store on Fairville Boulevard. Police say the man was allegedly armed and was assaulting an employee when officers arrived. The employee was hospitalized and later released; the accused was scheduled to appear in Provincial Court September 22.

Confirmed: NBCC Saint John is unveiling a new Virtual Reality Lab today at 10:30 a.m. at the Grandview Avenue campus. The lab is supported by the RBC Foundation and is intended to provide hands-on training for emerging occupations and high-demand sectors.
Confirmed: Irving Oil’s Operation Osprey fall refinery turnaround continues, with the mechanical work scheduled through November 8 and the broader stream-to-stream project through November 18.
