Cruise Ship Arrives in Saint John
It is a busy day on the Saint John waterfront as Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas arrives at Port Saint John today.
The ship is scheduled to arrive at approximately 10 a.m. Monday and remain in port until 4 p.m. Tuesday, bringing another group of visitors to the city.
The arrival should provide another boost for Uptown Saint John businesses, restaurants, shops and attractions as cruise passengers explore the city.
What’s Happening Around Town
The Saint John Grief Café is meeting this afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Compassionate Grief Centre. The weekly gathering provides an opportunity for people to meet others and share conversation in a welcoming environment.
The City of Saint John is also marking Living Donation Week today. The Saint John sign will be illuminated in green as part of the recognition.
Looking Ahead
Tuesday brings another busy day at Port Saint John, with Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Escape scheduled to arrive.
The week also includes several community and cultural activities. A Turtle Dot Art Workshop takes place Tuesday evening at Market Square, while Come From Away opens at the Imperial Theatre on Tuesday evening and continues through September 20.
On Friday, the Uptown Food Shop Hop Tour will offer residents and visitors an opportunity to explore multicultural groceries, foods and flavours around Uptown Saint John and the City Market. The event is part of Welcome Week.
