Police and Public Safety
Confirmed: The Saint John Police Force is asking for public assistance in locating Edmond Babineau, 35, who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for an alleged violation of statutory-release conditions. Police say he was last seen in the Carleton Street area on September 22. Police warn the public not to approach him and ask anyone with information to call 506-648-3333.

Business and Economy
Confirmed: New Brunswick diesel prices dropped 6.9 cents per litre overnight, bringing the maximum price to approximately $2.77/L. Furnace oil also fell about seven cents to approximately $2.70/L, while regular gasoline was unchanged.
Confirmed: Irving Oil’s major refinery turnaround continues in Saint John, with the project bringing substantial temporary industrial activity and employment to the region.
