POLICE BEAT:
Saint John Police have been busy this week. On Aug 8, they made an arrest in a break and enter on Rothesay Avenue. Last week also saw arrests for a break and enter on Water Street, a copper wire theft on Red Head Road, and a Canada-wide warrant arrest.
The Major Crime Unit is still asking for witnesses with dashcam / surveillance video for recent investigations – if you have footage, call the non-emergency line: 506-648-3333.
LOCAL NEWS:
- p]:inline” data-streamdown=”list-item”>Drug trafficking case closed: 43-year-old sentenced to 9.5 years after seizures of fentanyl and meth that police say were headed for communities around the region.
Police also continue to investigate recent serious assaults uptown and on Wright Street in the North End.
