🐉 Dragons on the Lake

One of today’s biggest family events is the 1st Annual Tim Hortons DRAGONS on the LAKE Dragon Boat Festival at Lily Lake in Rockwood Park.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features 21 dragon-boat teams competing on the lake.

There will also be family activities, including bouncy castles, face painting, live music and food.

The event gives residents another reason to get outside and enjoy one of Saint John’s popular recreational areas.

🎉 National Acadian Day

August 15 is National Acadian Day, and Saint John is recognizing the occasion by lighting the city’s SAINT JOHN sign in blue, yellow, white and red.

Across New Brunswick, communities are celebrating Acadian culture, music, history and identity.

The Fundy Fringe Festival is scheduled for August 17–22, bringing independent performances and theatre to the Uptown area.
