Santa Rosa container ship

The Santa Rosa is a container ship operated by Hamburg Süd. Built in 2011 by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in South Korea, the vessel measures approximately 299.9 meters in length and 42.92 meters in width. It has a carrying capacity of about 7,100 TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) and is equipped with 1,600 reefer plugs for refrigerated containers.

The Santa Rosa made a notable visit to Port Saint John in New Brunswick, Canada, marking the largest container ship to dock here in the port’s history. The vessel arrived on the night of March 24, 2025, underscoring the port’s growing capacity to accommodate larger ships.​

The Santa Rosa is part of Hamburg Süd’s fleet, which operates various container ships globally. The vessel’s IMO number is 9430363, and it sails under the flag of Denmark.
