The Saint John Police is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Amanda Raynes who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

It is reported that:

On May 13, 2024, a warrant was issued for breaching the conditions of her statutory release.

RAYNES is described as 5’3, 105lbs, brown hair, and brown eyes. She has several tattoos:

-Left forearm – black and white flowers
-Left middle finger – rose
-Right forearm – cross covered by flowers
-Neck – spider
-Left hand – clock

Amanda RAYNES is a 41-year-old serving a 5-year 5-month and 29-day sentence for convictions of; Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Assault Peace Officer with Weapon or Imitation, Assault with a Weapon, Escape or Being at Large Without Excuse (x2), Motor Vehicle Theft, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5000, Armed Robbery, and Utter Counterfeit Money.

Attempted Robbery Investigation – Main Street West

The Saint John Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in an attempted robbery investigation.

It is reported that:

On Friday, May 10, 2024, at approximately 4:24 p.m., the Saint John Police responded to an attempted robbery at a business in the 40-block of Main Street (West).

It is alleged that the suspect in the photographs had entered the business and demanded money.

The suspect subsequently left the business without any money. He was last seen heading down Charles Street (West) in the direction of Greystone Terrace.

Police are seeking to identify the suspect in the photographs.

Arrest in Break and Enter – Prince William Street

The Saint John Police have arrested a 33-year-old man for a Break and Enter file that has been under investigation since the fall of 2023.

It is reported that:

On Monday, October 23, 2023, at approximately 11:40 a.m., police responded to a report of a break and enter at an uptown restaurant on Prince William Street.

An unknown man broke into the location during the night and had rummaged through multiple areas and had taken some items from the business.

The alleged offence was investigated by the Saint John Police Major Crime Unit with the assistance of the Forensic Identification Unit.

Recent developments in the case led to the arrest of a 33-year-old man in the early hours of Thursday, May 09, 2024. The man was taken into custody for without incident and was later released on an undertaking to appear in court on August 22, 2024.

Assault with a weapon – Main Street

The Saint John Police have arrested a 29-year-old woman in connection with an aggravated assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

On Sunday, May 05, 2024, at 12:30 p.m., a woman was visiting an individual that was known to her in the 200-block of Main Street (North). When she arrived, she was assaulted by a masked woman with a bat. Members of the Saint John Fire Department were in the area and intervened.

The suspect left the scene in a vehicle that was parked in the area. The victim was treated at scene and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Members of the Saint John Police Patrol Service Division responded and began to investigate. The female suspect was identified and taken into custody, without incident in another part of the city.

The 29-year-old accused woman was arrested for assault with a weapon. She was released on an undertaking to appear in court on July 16, 2024.
