Two arrests made in an assault involving chemical irritant

The Saint John Police have arrested two youths in relation to an assault that involved a chemical irritant.

It is reported that:

On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Saint John Police responded to an alleged assault that took place in the 500-block of Westmorland Road.

Police arrived on scene and located a 19-year-old man that was contaminated with a chemical irritant. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at scene and released.

Additional officers searched the area and subsequently arrested two youths in a nearby neighbourhood.

A 16-year-old youth was released on an undertaking to appear in court on July 24, 2024.

A 15-year-old youth was charged with breach of a court order. He was held and scheduled to appear in court on April 17, 2024.

The Saint John Police is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Dylan MCNAMARA who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

It is reported that:

On April 14, 2024, a warrant was issued for breaching the conditions of his statutory release. MCNAMARA failed to return to the Community Correctional Centre in Saint John as directed.

MCNAMARA is described as 6’3, 187lbs, brown hair, and brown eyes. He has a distinctive scar on his left cheek and neck.

Dylan MCNAMARA is a 25-year-old serving a 3-year, 8-month and 13-day sentence for convictions of; Robbery, Disguise with Intent, possess property obtained by crime – Over $5000, Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Utter Threat to Cause death/harm, Assault Peace Officer and Escape or Being at large without excuse.

The Saint John Police is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing adult.

It is reported that:

On Thursday, April 11, 2024, Murray Doucette, 63, was reported missing to police. He was last heard from on Thursday, April 12, 2024, at approximately 9:11 p.m. He has been known to visit the Park area on Bridge Street, Saint John NB.

Ian is described as 5’6, and 185 lbs.

The Saint John Police are concerned for his safety.

Stolen Auto Investigation – 2017 Dark Grey Honda Accord

The Saint John Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a stolen vehicle.

It is alleged that:

On April 09th at approximately 2:10 p.m., a 2017 Dark Grey Honda Accord (NB license plate JPB740) as shown in the photograph, was stolen from the area of Fieldstone Drive in the North End of Saint John. The vehicle would have a small RKYC sticker displayed in the back window.
