The Saint John Police is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing youth.

It is reported that:

On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, Alexis Middleton, 15, was reported missing to police. She was last seen in the 300-block of Dufferin Row on Sunday, July 28, 2024.

Alexis is described as 5’2, and 100 lbs, with brown shoulder-length hair that has faded red color in it. She was last seen wearing a black sweater and carrying a black duffle bag.

The Saint John Police and her family are concerned for her safety.

Update: August 6, 2024, 8:30 a.m.

The human remains discovered on Thursday, August 1, 2024, have been positively identified as those of Allan Lee, a 52-year-old resident of Saint John. Lee’s body was found in a wooded area off King William Road in West Saint John.

Extensive Search and Investigation
On Friday, August 2, 2024, detectives conducted an exhaustive search of the wooded area where the body was located. The search involved multiple resources, including police canine units, grid searches, and aerial drone surveillance.

As a result of an autopsy performed on Saturday, August 3, 2024, detectives believe that Lee’s death occurred as a result of a homicide. Detectives continue to conduct searches, canvasses, and interviews. Evidence obtained in relation to the investigation is being examined by members of the Forensic Identification Unit.

Appeal for Information
The Major Crime Unit continues to investigate. Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone in the area of King William Road that has video footage or surveillance of the incident at the time it occurred.

The Saint John Police are investigating a suspicious death after locating human remains in a wooded area off the King William Road in West Saint John.

It is reported that:

On Thursday, August 1, 2024, at approximately 7:08 p.m., police responded to a report of human remains located in a wooded area off the King William Road.

Upon arrival, police located human remains that have been identified as a 52-year-old Saint John man. The identity of the deceased is not being released to the public at this time.

The Major Crime Unit, Forensic Services, and Coroner were called to investigate. An autopsy has been scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2024.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with video footage that captures King William Road.

Bicycle Safety Rodeo July 26, 2024

 
 

The Saint John Police will be conducting a Bicycle Safety Rodeo on July 26, 2024, in the Crescent Valley Basketball court on Taylor Avenue from 1:00pm – 3:00pm. The focus of the event will be to educate youth aged 4-12 on bicycle and roadway safety.

The Rodeo will be conducted by Community Engagement Officers. They will be performing safety presentations, doing helmet checks and bike fittings.

An obstacle course will be set up to instruct proper starting and stopping, figure 8’s, weaving and emergency stops. Representatives from Haywards Bike Shop will be on site inspecting and performing maintenance on bicycles.

Youth wishing to participate must be accompanied by an adult or guardian and must bring their own helmet and bicycle.
