Six Republicans joining Democrats

Six Republicans joining Democrats to move to end the president’s so-called “fentanyl emergency” tariffs is a welcome and common-sense step. Slapping broad taxes on our neighbors hasn’t stopped drugs at the border — it’s just raised prices, strained supply chains, and rattled the world economy.

Canada is our friend and ally, not an enemy to be punished with trade barriers. If we’re serious about tackling fentanyl and protecting American families, we should be working with partners, not waging unnecessary tariff wars that hurt everyone. 🇺🇸🇨🇦

B C mass shooting

Today we pause to reflect on the mass shooting that took place in British Columbia and the impact it has had on families, survivors, and the wider community.

Moments like this are a painful reminder of how violence can ripple far beyond a single location, touching friends, neighbors, and strangers alike. Our thoughts are with those who are grieving, those who are healing, and the first responders who stepped in to help.

In times like this, what matters most is coming together — checking in on one another, supporting local victims’ services, and honoring the resilience of communities that refuse to be defined by tragedy.

If you’re struggling to process this news, it’s okay to take a break, talk to someone you trust, or seek support. We are stronger when we care for each other. 🕊️

Trump has sharply criticized Bad Bunny’s halftime performance

Former President Donald Trump has sharply criticized Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl 60 halftime performance, labeling it “absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!” In a Truth Social post, Trump described the show as “an affront to the Greatness of America,” asserting that it failed to represent American standards of success, creativity, or excellence. He further commented, “Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World.” Trump concluded by urging the NFL to replace its “ridiculous new Kickoff Rule” and reiterated his slogan, “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN”

.

Bad Bunny’s performance was notable for being the first Super Bowl halftime show delivered entirely in Spanish. The Puerto Rican artist’s set featured guest appearances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, and included cultural elements such as a wedding ceremony and a message promoting unity across the Americas. The show concluded with the statement, “The only thing more powerful than hate is love,” displayed on the stadium’s big screen

Despite his public disapproval, footage from Trump’s Super Bowl watch party at Mar-a-Lago showed attendees watching Bad Bunny’s performance on large screens. There was no indication that the alternative “All-American Halftime Show,” headlined by Kid Rock and organized by Turning Point USA, was featured at the event
